Google Search Account?? How??

For the web services demo in the book you suggest to get a google search account. I can't seem to find where to register for this on the google site. Could you provide a URL?

Unfortunately Google discontinued that service. Many books used the Google search API to demonstrate web services. They still offer their web based service, but this is not really useful to a bot. I will fix the book on the next edition(no planned date for that).
