Is Beginning Java Programming book enough for this? and the math?
Is the Beginning Java Programming book sufficient to understand all of the code in Introduction to Neural Networks for Java. Except for the math of course, which if I understand correctly, requires a firm grasp of differing levels of mathematics. In fact this brings me to a second question. Could someone please give a basic description of the level of mathematics required to understand the NN book. A good description would indicate for example course identifiers for classes in college. I mean the bare minimum required. So altogether I have 2 questions.

The maths level required to understand these books is not great. I would say college algebra at the most. Usually the code is explained in terms of Java or C# rather than in mathematical terms, which, I know is by design.
I've never seen the Java for the beginning programmer book, so I am not sure on that.
