New Neural Network Types for Encog 2.1
No official downloads yet for Encog 2.1. However, you can grab it off of the build server. http://build.heatonresearch.com.
The main focus of Encog 2.1 is going to be adding some new neural network types. As well as some fairly cool examples for them.
The following network types have already been added to Encog 2.1.
ADALINE
Bidirectional Associative Memory (BAM)
Boltzmann Machines
The following two types have not yet been added, but are planned for 2.1.
Counterpropagation Network (CPN) - Working on this now!
Adaptive Resonance Theory (ART1)
Once these nets are in and supported as patterns and by the workbench, Encog 2.1 will be released.
Encog 2.2 will then seriously focus on performance and multicore.
Encog 2.3 will enhance performance by allowing grid computing.
Of course, thats the plan... subject to change. These releases of 2.x will not break backwards compatibility... at least not much. Nothing like 2.0 did to 1.1 compatibility.

What is the current timeline for grid? This post lists t as 2.3?
