I finished adding the benchmarking feature to Encog. I added an example that calls the benchmarker, as well as built it into the workbench. This should be helpful for 2.1 when we focus more on performance optimization.
The higher the number, the slower your computer performed. My slow computer scored 54.

Very good!
I just tried it out, works great! My Mac Air gets a 37, and my old MacBook Pro gets a 54. I even tried it on my Dell Netbook, which is a SMALL 12 inch laptop, no hard drive, just SSD. That underpowered computer got a 156! Not going to be training any neural networks on it anytime soon!
However, the netbook is great. Its battery can go forever. It lasted the whole flight from Atlanta to Madrid, Spain, I was quite happy with it!
2.1 is going to be all about performance. And a few enhancements. Hopefully get into grid as well.
Nice enhancement! We will be able to compare those numbers and see how much we are improving things!

multicore
Does this take into account multicore? For example, would a 2ghtz dual core get the same score as a 2ghtz quadcore?
