    The examples in this book require JDK 5.0 or higher. As of the writing of this book JDK 6.0 had not been released for the Macintosh. However, if JDK 6.0 is available, you should use it. This appendix shows you how to download and install all of the software necessary to use these examples. This includes installing Java, installing Apache Ant, as well as how to use these examples with an IDE such as Eclipse.
