Mindstorms NXT also includes many connector pieces. These pieces do not directly provide sense or motion to the robot. Connector pieces simply hold the robot together.

Because Lego makes the Mindstorm robot, you might expect that these connector pieces would be made like traditional Lego sets. This is not the case. They are the Lego Technic variety. Figure 1.14 shows such connectors.
